Service Areas
Multigroup Contracting serves Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Coquitlam and all of Metro Vancouver, plus Portland, Seattle and Austin.
Where Multigroup Contracting works
Multigroup Contracting is headquartered in downtown Vancouver at Suite 700 - 838 West Hastings Street and works throughout Metro Vancouver, with additional commercial operations in selected United States markets. Local knowledge matters more in construction than in most trades: each municipality runs its own permit process, applies the BC Building Code through its own bylaws, and enforces its own rules on noise, parking, hoarding and inspections. The pages below describe what we deliver in each area.
Metro Vancouver, British Columbia
Vancouver
Our home base. We deliver commercial construction, tenant improvements and multi-unit residential work across downtown Vancouver, the West End, Gastown, Mount Pleasant, Kitsilano, Point Grey and the surrounding neighbourhoods. City of Vancouver projects have their own permit stream, and downtown work carries building access, elevator booking and after-hours restrictions that shape the schedule.
Burnaby
From Metrotown to Brentwood, we provide full-service commercial construction and renovation throughout Burnaby, including retail buildouts and warehouse renovations in the city's large industrial areas.
North Vancouver and West Vancouver
Commercial construction and renovation across the North Shore, plus multi-unit residential building work for strata councils and property managers where slope, drainage and rain exposure drive envelope decisions.
Richmond
Tenant improvements, commercial renovations and common-area upgrades across Richmond, including projects near Richmond Centre and the city centre. Richmond's water table and soil conditions affect ground-floor and foundation work in ways that matter at the pricing stage.
Surrey
One of British Columbia's fastest-growing cities, with steady demand for commercial construction, retail buildouts and building renovation across its town centres and industrial areas.
Coquitlam and Port Moody
Commercial construction and renovation throughout the Tri-Cities, from the Coquitlam Centre area to Brewers Row and the newer Port Moody developments.
Langley
Warehouse renovations, commercial construction and multi-unit building projects in both the City and the Township of Langley, where large-format industrial space is concentrated.
Delta
Commercial construction and renovation across Ladner, Tsawwassen and North Delta, including industrial work near the port and highway corridors.
New Westminster
Tenant improvements and commercial renovations in the downtown core and along the waterfront, where older building stock frequently requires structural and services upgrades alongside the visible work.
Kitsilano and Point Grey
Coffee shop renovations, retail buildouts and commercial construction in two Vancouver neighbourhoods with distinct character, heritage considerations and streetfront constraints.
United States operations
Alongside our Metro Vancouver work, Multigroup Contracting takes on commercial construction and tenant improvement projects in Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; Austin, Texas; and Phoenix, Arizona. These are commercial-focused operations covering renovations, retail buildouts and tenant improvements for businesses expanding or upgrading their space.

Why local coverage changes a project
Permit review timelines, inspection scheduling and bylaw interpretation vary meaningfully between municipalities in Metro Vancouver. A tenant improvement in the City of Vancouver does not follow the same path as the same scope in Burnaby or Surrey, and a warehouse alteration in Delta answers to different considerations again. Knowing which authority reviews what, and in which order, keeps a schedule honest rather than optimistic.
Trade availability and logistics are equally local. Downtown work is constrained by loading access, elevator bookings and permitted working hours; suburban industrial work is constrained by operations that continue while the site is live. Building the schedule around those realities is the difference between a plan and a promise.
Frequently asked questions about our service areas

Do you handle permits in every municipality you serve? Yes — permit coordination is part of most commercial projects across the Metro Vancouver municipalities listed above.
Do you take work outside these areas? Enquiries outside the listed areas are considered case by case depending on scope and duration.
